SW News: On October 17, Saturday, San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone performed an exorcism in front of the Planned Parenthood clinic in San Rafael, California.

The exorcism was performed following a rosary walk to the clinic, along with 40 Days for Life prayer warriors. Prior to the exorcism at the clinic, the archbishop also performed an exorcism at the spot where St. Junipero Serra statue was toppled by activists on October 12, Monday.

Cordileone had issued a statement condemning the desecration. In his statement, the archbishop said that “we cannot allow a small unelected group of lawbreakers to decide what sacred symbols we Catholics or other believers may display and use to foster our faith.”

Cordileone pointed out that St. Serra and his companions renounced all worldly pursuits to serve the native people, during their missionary journey.

“Attacking the symbols of faith of millions of Catholics, who are as diverse in ethnicity as any faith in America, is counterproductive. It’s also simply wrong,” the archbishop added.

In recent months, many Catholic statues were desecrated by left-wing activists across the United States.
