Sydney Archbishop Anthony Fisher ordained two brothers, Deacons Daniel and Stephen Drum, to the priesthood on May 29, Saturday. The ordination ceremony took place at Sydney St. Mary’s Cathedral. 
It was also livestreamed on the cathedral’s YouTube channel. The Drum brothers belong to the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity. 
In a Facebook post, the archbishop noted that the faith of the newly ordained brothers “is a great credit to their parents, John and Nola Drum since their daughter,  Rosie, is a Missionary of God's Love and three of their children have now entered religious life.” 
Archbishop Fisher also requested the faithful to “pray through the intercession of the patron saint of priests, St John Vianney, that these young men may help inspire others to take up the same call to become new pastors for our Church.” 
The Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity was founded in 1963 by Spanish priest Fr Jaime Bonet. It has a presence in more than 30 countries.
