The hit television series 'The Chosen', which portrays the life of Jesus Christ and his disciples, continues to grow in popularity. Fans of the faith-based and one of the most-watched shows in the world can now watch the 'The Chosen' Season 4 exclusively in theatres in February 2024.

In a bold move for the television series, every episode of Season 4 will be first released in theatres across the United States and Canada through Fathom distributors.

This is the first time in history that a show has opted to release its entire season in theatres first. The fourth season will premiere on streaming services like the Chosen app after the whole season's run-in cinemas are over. The Season 3 premiere and finale were previously seen in theaters.

This was announced by the show's creator and director, Dallas Jenkins, at "The Chosen Insiders Conference," or "ChosenCon," a gathering of 3,500 fans in Dallas, Texas.

"Every time we've dipped our toes in the theatrical waters, viewers have overwhelmingly told us they want more," Jenkins said.

In the recently released Season Four trailer, various events from the Bible, including John the Baptist being led to his execution and Mary Magdalene gazing into an empty tomb, were shown.

The eight-episode Season 4 will be divided into three segments, each lasting two weeks. Beginning on February 1, episodes 1-3 will air, followed by episodes 4-6 on February 15 and episodes 7-8 on February 29.

The premiere episodes will be screened in cinemas in Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Australia, and Latin America through several distributors.

With 20 subtitles, Season 2 was dubbed into seven languages.

Despite its humble beginnings as a crowd-funded project, The Chosen now has over 600-million-episode views and continues to be one of the most-watched shows on various streaming platforms.
